COUNTRY RISERS NEON UNION DELIVER BRAND NEW SINGLE, “GOOD YEARS”
DUO ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM, GOOD YEARS, OUT JANUARY 31st
September 6, 2024 – Nashville, TN – Red Street Records’ buzzing Country duo Neon Union released their brand new single, “Good Years” today, available everywhere (listen HERE). The song serves as the title track to their upcoming debut January 2025 album, Good Years (pre-save HERE), a project long-awaited by fans of the promising newcomers. After a 2024 ACM Awards nomination for New Duo/Group of the Year followed by back-to-back Summer slams, “Made In Mexico” (HERE) and “Luck Don’t Live Around Here” (HERE), the duo is ready to kick off a brand new chapter of music with today’s release. Duo member Andrew Millsaps shares the nostalgic inspiration behind the song and says, “When a song comes on it can often take you back in time as if your truck becomes a time machine. That’s what this track is all about. Rolling on the good years and reliving the memories in your mind.”
Written by duo members Leo Brooks and Andrew Millsaps alongside Aaron Benward and produced by award-winning producer and Rascal Flatts member Jay DeMarcus, “Good Years” serves as a lens into another angle of the group’s artistry. Often known for up-tempo party anthems like their debut charted single “’Bout Damn Time” and tracks from their 2023 EP Double Wide Castle Sessions like “Redneck Rich” and “How You Don’t,” Neon Union’s latest single proves their ability to both write and deliver a wide array of lyrical storytelling and rich melodies while giving ode to some of Country music’s greatest hits. The single’s heartfelt chorus sings,
And what hurts the most didn’t hurt so bad / ‘Til I learned about a broken heart / Every mile a memory / But we made a few sitting in park / I swear to god this Chevy is a time machine / Cause every time I drop it in gear / Another throwback song that I grew up on comes on / And I’m rollin’ on the good years
